Close to the Bone
If something is said to be ‘close to the bone,’ it is defined as something that makes us feel uncomfortable because it is very close to the truth or to the real nature of something. Rev. Joanna will explore the importance of this stance as our world seemingly swirls around us.
Rev. Joanna’s life and work experience include serving as the Director of Education and Worldwide Communications for the ReCreation Foundation, supporting the work of Neale Donald Walsch, author of the Conversations with God books. She is also an ordained new thought minister and, serving in a chaplaincy capacity, has had the opportunity to support patients and families in a hospital setting. She worked for seven years in a Level I Trauma Center and served as an interim spiritual leader, speaker, class facilitator, prayer/meditation leader and workshop/retreat facilitator for New Thought churches throughout the Pacific Northwest. Rev. Gabriel currently serves as the Spiritual Advisor for the Unity church on beautiful Whidbey Island.
