The Christmas story is not just an event that took place long ago and far away. Nor is it just the story of a cold night in a barren stable where a young maiden brought forth a child. The Christmas story is the story of each one of us and it is enacted within us every day of our lives. This Sunday, Becky and Matt will invite you to sing sacred songs of the season, participate in the candle lighting ceremony, and hear readings that illuminate the metaphysical meaning of The Greatest Story Ever Told. Come discover how you are Christmas and how Christ can be born within you every day of the year.
Matt and Becky have served as musicians, expressive arts leaders and choir directors for Unity churches throughout the Seattle-Tacoma region. They met at Unity of Tacoma in 2005, when Matt was in the choir and Becky was soloist and Drama Ministry director. Since then, they have served as Music Team leaders, soloists, and choir directors at Unity of Tacoma, Unity of Bellevue, Amazing Grace Spiritual Center and at Seattle Unity. They have worked with many local and national New Thought musical artists over the past two decades, and continue to serve regional Unity communities in N. Kitsap, Kent, Bellevue, Tacoma, and Centralia, WA, Bend, OR and Vacaville, CA as musical guests and speakers, sharing their love, and faith through humor and music.
Guest Musician & Choir Director Carole Glenn
Carole received her BA from the University of the Pacific, her MA from Occidental College and is the author of “In Quest of Answers: Conversations with American Choral Conductors.” She taught junior high choral music for 35 years in Modesto, CA and Silverdale, WA and just retired from her second career as a Certified Music Practitioner for Franciscan Hospice and Multi-Care Hospice in order to focus on completing her second book. Carole received her Doctorate of Spiritual Studies through the Alohem Institute and is an ordained minister for the Church of Inner Wisdom and also serves as the Administrative Advisor for the Alohem Center for Transformational Studies, a mystery school through which she teaches meditation seminars.
