"Being Alive"

Rev. Patty Becker, OIM, LUT, served as the spiritual leader of Unity of Kent from 2014 - 2024. In her 22 years of ministry, she has served the greater Puget Sound area as senior minister of three Unity Churches, guest speaker, teacher, and spiritual counselor. Rev. Patty is a trained Religious Science Practitioner, hospice worker, and spiritual director. As an Ordained Interfaith Minister (OIM) she brings to her work a familiarity with all world religions and spiritual philosophies. As a Licensed Unity Teacher (LUT) she both teaches and practices positive, practical, transformational spiritual principles aligned with the teachings of Jesus, metaphysics, and New Thought.

Rose has been a Unity of North Kitsap member for at least a decade and has, from time to time, served as the guest musician over the years. Originally from Santa Barbara, she found her way up to North Kitsap in 1992 and has been in the area ever since, raising her three kids, volunteering at local schools and building up her business in environmental work. In the late 70’s and all through the 80’s, she was a lead singer for several bands and has two albums to her credit. She worked as a studio commercial/jingles singer and did backup vocals on various album projects. In 2012, Rose went to India to become a certified Oneness Blessing Trainer. She and her partner, Bill Mullen, lead blessing meditations periodically for the Thursday gatherings. Rose has studied various religions throughout her life; was raised Catholic, practiced Nichrien Buddhism for over 20 years, and is now a Kriya yoga student training with the Self Realization Fellowship. Her guru is Paramahansa Yogananda. She and Bill continue to support Unity of North Kitsap and participate whenever they can.
